DCIS

Well the test result for me is D and S, which make no sense because how I could be both Dominance and Steadiness? I mean I might want others to go my ways sometimes, but most of the time I went with whatever my co-workers or team members’ suggested. Like I said previously for the management problem, I hate team work. I would do anything to have works done on time regardless whose idea is being used or who is the leader. I am pretty cooperative person, rather than overcoming oppositions or persuading others to do it my way. I think S describes me well. I like to be in a predictable environment, with minimum conflict. I have desire to help others, especially those that cannot finish their work on time. I am a good listener, and I am flexible in work procedures. I don’t think I can be Conscientious or Influential. Nobody listens to me I have to emphasize my point several times to get it across. Even though I like to delegate tasks to others or initiate and facilitate discussions, people won’t take me seriously. I can’t be influential because I’m not popular, not enthusiastic, and certainly don’t view people and situations optimistically. Now come to think about it, maybe secretly I WANT to be dominant but I APPEARED to be Steady.
I think this test is helpful to determine management “type” by understanding your true self. It might not be 100% correct but at least it tells you how your personality can be related or reflected on your management style. Im not sure whether this test would help me in other personal interaction, because I still don’t know how those words can predict how I interact with others.

From what I can tell, I would say that you would fall more into the Steadiness stage because I noticed how you have demonstrated patience in each of our group projects. Some of our group projects have proven to test our skills of patience but you have remained calm throughout. In addition, another Steadiness trait I believe you maintain is that of being a good listener because you were able to listen to everyone's ideas without making any rash judgments. You may just need a little encouragement to believe in yourself more because I think it's great that you have the skills to cooperate well with others.

Hmm. . .interesting situation. I guess the test is too general. Maybe you belong to the outlier group for this test. Sometimes, you just have to seek out the answer yourself instead of relying the DISC. I mean it’s your life, who would best understand your life other than yourself? But from what I read, I agree with Viglione that you fall more into the Steadiness but it’s not that bad to have both stages at the same time. If company is looking for Dominant manager, you have higher chances of competing since you’re S and D. In other words, you could switch around. Lol.

After the few projects we have worked together, I actually can say that you are patient, helpfull and very organized. You always stress to meet deadlines( for example in the egg project i remember you were the one to pressure us to stop and turn in our egg...) You also seem to be comfortable in an environment where everything is done in respect to standards and accuracy. Thus I think that you would be more of a type C manager ( consciousness.) When in comes to being a D, I think you have some of the aggressive caracteristics of a dominant type, but I think you would be more of cooperative, conscious manager.
Also don't let bad experiences with a past group make you not like working in group, because there are so many advantages in group work. Infact as smart as you can be, you always miss some points of the picture someone else can catch.

LOL i guess the test might not work for everyone. Don't get me wrong but in class you seem like the quite type but there was one time where I think that you got upset because of the extra credit. You thought that the candle jello was your idea but someone else had it also and they got credit for it. I saw the expression on your face and honestly i know that it was not fair to you because you also had the idea. Sometimes i guess you just have to relax and trust your groups and enjoy life a bit more.

I work with you most of the time, I somehow think you are a little bit dominant. One of the description for dominant is to be able to "make quick decisions". I dont know if ideas may count as "decisions", but i think you are fast-thinker! When we were doing Jello exercise, you threw out so many ideas as the exercise started, which is amazing! I think that can also view as "solving problems"?

I agree you're steadiness too! Because just like you said, you're a good listener!

Its good that you at least idetify yourself with some of the traits that you found out you were. I think you are able to become more consciousness and integrity.

You are the boss. That quite is the D characteristic you have there. Well, since I do not know you to say what you style is like, judging from what you wrote I think you are more like S and D rather than D and S. I think you have some D in you, or you want to be D lie you wrote. I do agree that this test only reflect some of your characteristics but not all. I think it will be fine if you don't let this test to influence you too much. Just let it be guidence to how you want your management style to be.
